What next after the Address Wars? - 5th March 2015

The dramatic title is a reference to various disputes between Royal Mail, Ordnance Survey, local authorities and others as to who owns addresses, postcodes, street names and other related items. Now that the Postal Address File has been sold together with the Royal Mail, addresses have become increasingly a subject of controversy

This is an account of an address day which helped look forward rather than backward and provided some fascinating accounts of new initiatives in this essential area

The Location Information (formerly Geospatial) SG will hold its inaugural meeting to create its programme for the next 6 months.As part of its activities it has taken over the Digital National Framework activities that have been successfully supported by a number of organisations in both public and private sector over the last decade.
